ナマステ福岡とは？

The Namaste Fukuoka is a "nonprofit organization" and volunteer organization, which exceedingly encouraged introducing diverse cultures of India to everyone in Japan. Fukuoka India Friendship Association (FIFA) organized the event first time in the year 2016. The number of Indian residents in Kyushu, Japan is not large yet, and there are few opportunities for residents to touch Indian culture. 

インドは、長い歴史の中で多彩な文化と多様な民族を持つ国です。しかし、日本ではカレーやITのイメージが強く、その他多くの素晴らしい文化は広く知られていません。九州における在日インド人の数もまだ多くはなく、地域住民の方々がインド文化に触れる機会は少ないのが現状です。

The motive of this Event is to provide a platform for Japanese and other foreigners in Fukuoka, Kyushu, Japan to know the rich and diverse culture of India. At the same time, we want to increase the exchange between Japanese people, Indians and foreigners. It's a great opportunity for Japanese people and foreigners to explore and feel about Indian culture and contribute to the further development of India-Japan friendship and mutual relations.Since April 2016 the event held at Tenjin Central Park in the center of Fukuoka city every year. 

ナマステ福岡では、インドを様々な形で体感できます。ステージでは、インド古典舞踊やボリウッドダンスなどのパフォーマンスが繰り広げられ、出店ブースでは、インド料理はもちろんアクセサリーをはじめとするインド雑貨などを楽しむことができます。また、毎年ご好評いただいているヘナやサリーの無料体験コーナーもございます。
