★ Namaste Fukuoka 2016 ★

This year is the first time of the event and we successfully completed it. The event is held to introduce Indian diverse colorful culture and to hold it at Fukuoka city, as Asian gateway is very meaningful to contribute to further development of friendship and interexchange between India and Japan.

Date and time: Saturday, April 16th 2016, 10: 00-17: 00

Location: Tenjin Central Park

Entrance fee: Free of charges

Stage: Introduction of Indian traditional performing arts, performances in Japan and other countries, etc.

Booth: Offering Indian cuisine, selling folk crafts, introducing activities of related groups, etc. 

Massive earthquake in Kumamoto and Oita: 

At previous night of the event, we experienced a massive earthquake in Kumamoto and Oita. Many Japanese were in hard condition, Indians were very shocked as well. Under the situation, we need enough discussions about pros and cons of go on the event. Finally we came to conclusion to go on the event, judged it’s the best way we can do now, to give visitors brightness and power by entertaining them at the venue as much as possible. Upon that conclusion, we appreciate warmest supports and cheers from many Japanese from bottom of our heart.
